we ate at a restaurant called the vortex in little Five Points.

it was featured on the food network's drives and dives show. i had a yohamma mamma burger that was covered in teriyaki sauce and had a slice of pineapple on it. it was interesting. then we walked around to some shops and loren did a quick driving tour of the town.

we passed the high museum, scad-atlanta, and the court house i had to go to for when i was in an car accident in atlanta. oh memories. we had a really great time in atlanta, thanks loren! you are awesome! always good to see you!
since we stayed longer than expected in atlanta, which was fun and totally worth it, we didn't get to memphis until about 10pm so we didn't get to see beale street at night, but i have a feeling i will be back, so it's ok. we got to the KOA kampgrounds, set up the tent amongst the bazillion bugs and went to bed. it was an awesome first day of the trip. atlanta was great, wish i would have gone more often while i was in savannah. northern alabama and mississippi are beautiful, i swear, who would've thunk it. i'll put the pictures up soon.
